You may remember that back in March, I signed up for this sweet little program that drops a package of awesomeness on my doorstep once a month. You may also recall that I completely forgot to post the results of the April box… Partly because I’m a slacker, and partly because it just wasn’t amazeballs.
Where I’m impulsive, he’s practical.
Where I’m weak, he’s strong.
He keeps me reined in, and I help him go completely overboard.
I kill the spiders and he shovels the dog poo.
Happy anniversary to the one who completes me in every way.
It’s been four years of extreme highs and lows, but we just get better every day.
I love you, husband.
I’ll be honest: I am a little bit of a word nerd.
(People who know me in real life may think that “a little” is a bit of an understatement…)
I just appreciate basic grammar, spelling, punctuation and sentence structure!
No one is perfect; I know I’m not.
(But did you just see how well I executed the use of that semi-colon?)
Seriously, though. I judge you when you have poor grammar.

I am a nerd. I admit it.
I am also a giant Harry Potter fan.
Liiiiike… I’ve seen every movie so many times I can quote them.
Accent and all.
Sometimes I answer questions with Harry Potter quotes. It’s a serious problem.
I’ve also read and reread the books, and love to point out to the husband (a movie-only Potter fan) the differences in the stories.
He rolls his eyes, but I’m sure he acknowledges my superiority deep down inside.

The internet is a wealth of information, as well as a place to meet groups of others who share your passions and interests, hopes and dreams.
It’s also a great place to find funny pictures of cats.
Since I don’t have a whole lot to blog about in the realm of infertility these days (at least not for a couple more weeks when I meet the new RE), I figured I’d share some random hilarity I’ve encountered on le interwebs of late.

I really am okay.
Some days, notsomuch… but most days?
I’m okay.
Yesterday’s post was a bit on the dramatic side. Not because I was looking for attention or needed some TLC, but because I wanted to bring to light the way that so many on this journey feel on a daily basis.
I know there are some who truly suffer from depression, and there are those who have been told they will never have a child of their own ever.
I know there are those who self-medicate or harm themselves because they have no other way to deal with the struggle.
I’m okay.
I have it worse than many.
I have it better than many.
I count my blessings every day. I try to start and end my prayers with thanks, and squeeze that little bit of asking into the middle.
I may not have everything I want in life, but who does?
I may not have it all, but I’m okay.
I’ll be even more okay if I conceive this cycle, but hey… I can manage anything.
I swear. I’m okay. 🙂
