Hi Tracy, I stumbled upon your blog this morning and just wanted to give you a big hug for your perseverance and determination. Although it “only” took me 2.5 years of low-tech TTC to have a baby, I agree with you on the effectiveness of Traditional Chinese Medicine. All the doctors said I’d NEVER get pregnant naturally but the TCM people all said it would happen, and it did with the help of Plum Flower teapills and moxabustion (I got pregnant the cycle my practitioner was overseas on vacation!!!). I also wanted to URGE you to get a FULL blood panel done on your thyroid and NOT just TSH, I’m talking T3, T4, Free T3, Reverse, Antigens, etc., etc. THE WHOLE ENCHILADA. I realize your TCM practitioner is treating you with herbs, but I really believe that Natural Desiccated thyroid (especially Westhroid which is hypoallergenic) can REALLY aid and enhance our fertility. Please check out the Stop The Thyroid Madness website and this link to their list of recommended bloodwork: http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/recommended-labwork/
I hope that you have a supportive and understanding MD who will have the kindness to order the FULL panel of bloodwork. TSH is not very accurate or correct; here’s an article about how USELESS TSH labs are: http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/tsh-why-its-useless/

I hope this is helpful. I am wishing you the very very very best. with much aloha from HonoluluGal
