One year ago today, I charted a note about cloudy urine and some urine odor.

One year ago tomorrow, I charted about starting a course of antibiotics for a UTI.

I was on my first Femara + Ovidrel cycle then, and I started the antibiotic after I had ovulated.

Today, I noticed some cloudy urine and urine odor.  I am hoping to ovulate later this week…

I’m calling Dr. K tomorrow to see what he recommends, but jeez… this isn’t looking good.

Anyone out there have any success stories about UTIs and/or antibiotics during ovulation/the TWW?

As you can see, I am grasping at straws here.  Just trying to cling to hope that ten days worth of shots to the belly-fat will not be for naught.

Tuesday, you are a bitch.

Hmm, I will have to stop into the pharmacy on the way to work to see what they have. Thanks for the info! I just assumed antibiotics were the only way to fix this!

This is only the second one I’ve ever had… Can I really just pound the cranberry juice for a few days and this will disappear? This is mild compared to what some poor women deal with, but I don’t want it to turn into anything worse…

Cranberry Juice and the Cranberry pills will do the trick. Don’t take the antibiotics, it may mess with your cycle. Cranberries have a natural antioxidant that attaches to the bacteria in your bladder and you will excrete it out. Make sure it’s real Cranberry juice, some that say they are Cranberry juice are only like 5% juice. I think most 100% juices are a mix with Cranberry but that will be better than the 5% stuff. I never take the antibiotics for a UTI since Cranberry work so great. If you have pain with it you can take an over the counter UTI pain med, it’s basically just IB.

Maybe I will try that – at least if it doesn’t get better after ovulation, I can maybe start an AB then. I just don’t want to start one before ovulating because I know what they do to my digestive system! Ugh!

I will give the cranberry a try. I also heard pineapple is good, so I am pounding cranberry and pineapple cocktails all day!

Yes definitely make sure you are drinking 100% cranberry juice. Best bet would get it in the organic section. Also……raw garlic is said to be a natural antibiotic. For example, my Uncle who is by far the most resourceful person for natural cures, he eats a clove of garlic when ever he is starting to feel ill. He’s very rarely sick! He also puts a whole clove (like the spice) in his mouth next to a tooth ache to help…… I’ve tried both remedies and I can concur! Anyhow, I hope you can avoid the ab as much as possible! 🙂

Thanks for the tips! I have 100% juice, but I know it’s a blend of 3 different berries. I will check out the organic section on my way home! 🙂

Good luck! UTI’s are THE WORST. Let alone worrying about them interfering with your meds!
