ICLW :: July 2012

Hello, friends.  🙂
If you are finding your way here from ICLW – welcome!  You can find out a little more about me and my epic levels of crazy here, and here, and more on my infertility journey here.  Thank you for stopping by, and please feel free to stick around a while!

To recap the drama of this week:

  • Tuesday – Aunt Flo came a-callin’.
  • Wednesday – first appointment with RE
  • Wednesday pm – MIND. BLOWN. with new information!
  • Thursday – start Femara
  • Friday – call insurance company, doctor’s office, and specialty pharmacy repeatedly until resolution is reached

Yes, friends, mischief was managed.

I finally got sick of the run-around, and somehow, without a hostage negotiator, I collected myself and kindly asked the insurance company to three-way call the pharmacy so we could get some shit sorted out.

Okay.  Maybe I yelled.  A little.

I’m a very nice girl, everyone says so… but when I’m pissed off and on fertility meds, I can be terrifying.

Apparently just terrifying enough to get the job done, though, because everything was worked out and although the injectables won’t be able to be shipped to me in time, we worked out a way that the husband can pick them up for me.

And so, I will be officially starting Menopur on Monday!  Woo!  🙂

This is my first Femara + injectables cycle, and I really feel good about it.  I can’t wait to see some results!

Also, after thinking about what the good doctor told me about the husband’s Sloth-swimmers, we decided to get a repeat semen analysis.  That will be on Tuesday, and we hope to have some results (and hopefully some clarification) at the end of next week.

We are on our way!

I will try to update more later, but for now I must drive four hours for a baby shower.  No doubt it will be a a dry shower, and I know for a fact that it’s in a church basement.  😉

Just wait.  Happy Hour Baby Shower for Tracy in 2013!

Happy Weekend and Happy ICLW, friends!  🙂
