I don’t actually know what the process consisted of (because I was being wanded and bled dry while it happened…), but I have officially been randomized.
The option I was chosen to take is a pill… Two per day for five days, to be exact. I won’t find out what drug I took until after the study ends, but depending on the side effects, I may be able to figure it out since I’ve taken Clomid and Femara (letrozole) in previous cycles.
Oh, and I also found out this interesting bit of news… The trigger used for this study is NOT the cute little wussy-needled Ovidrel.
It’s an intramuscular.
That gets shot right in the ass.
Oy.
Oh well, I’ll do what I have to! Next up, five days of meds, recording my symptoms, and reporting back a week from tomorrow for a repeat ultrasound.
Bring it on!
Happy Sunday, friends! 🙂
I’m in the same study!! Pill group also, but UofM instead of Wayne State. I’m in the 2ww of my third cycle and if I had to guess I’d say I’m on the Femara. The IM shots aren’t too bad, I barely even feel the needle actually going in. 🙂 good luck!!

This will sound corny but when your baby comes you will not be able to even remember what those butt shots felt like, whether you got 10 or 100. Hang in there and all the best!!! Cheering for you 😉 Su @Susy_Sama
