Yesterday was a whole lot of paperwork and scheduling, but here is the basic rundown of the research study time frame:
- Visit Two: Tomorrow – blood work, blood work, and even more blood work, followed by a pap, TV ultrasound, physical, and hopefully a cookie afterwards, because some of said blood work is fasting (ugh.)
- Visit Two, part deux – the husband also needs to repeat his semen analysis tomorrow. Somehow I am not sympathetic.
- Visit Three: CD1 – provided all testing comes back normal and my infertility is still deemed “unexplained”, I will start meds after the first day of my next cycle (which could be as soon as a week from now!).
- It sounds as though I will have to go to the clinic for the good ol’ blood pregnancy test on CD1, and then I will be randomly selected for meds to begin CD3-5, depending on my selection.
This is all going to be very time-consuming, but so completely worth it. If I have any blood left tomorrow, I’ll post an update after my Visit Two testing is complete!
Happy Hump Day, friends!
